I'm really confused with people's logic on here. Rcc9 please go re read your comments regarding HHS loss. Werent you doing the same? But it's ok now that it's not highlands .... My bad.

I've also not seen one comment saying Scott was bad. They are a good team.

Dozer.... Regarding your comment "not a chance. All it proves is that it is necessary to play the game....." Fly in the logic of all the comments regarding the sk Scott game?

Rcc9. Please dont bother trying to tear me apart. I like most of your comments but you are so biased that you don't always give clear answers or lash out because you are so emotionally attached. That's not a bad thing. If my kids were playing i would probably be the same. I just like constructive conversations.

In another post someone said that Scott would be undefeated if they had sk schedule. Really? Then the ultimate reply was basically explain your loss and their win for the same common opponent, Ryle.

So much to say here. First about the HHS loss, I'm sure I said HHS didn't play well that day and shot horrible (uh...which is the truth...not opinion). However, I also gave all kinds of credit to OC...saying they outplayed us on that day. I tell it like it is...good or bad.

Never said Scott was bad. Please show me where. If I did, Dozer would have been all over me!!!

My comments are biased...funny! I never bring up HHS in a non-HHS thread until someone else does. I talk about bball. Everyone else brings up HHS in the other threads. Go check it out.

It's just silly to get on here and bash a team for a loss that just beat you!!

I was under the impression this thread was about the Conner vs Scott game? Am I in the wrong place? If not please take your feud elsewhere, or start a new thread! It's not always about your teams!

You are right! Impressed with this win by Conner. I have to say I thought Scott would get this one. I didn't think Conner had enough fire power to score enough. But they must have stepped it up on defense. Really nice win!

Good call, Coach14!

And it was a good win for Conner. I said at the beginning not to fall asleep on them. They have a lot of talent as is evident by the 2 players (Roberts & Jordan) who doubled there season average while Gambrel was held to just 2 3 pointers. The true difference in this game boiled down to rebounding and 3pt. Shooting. Conner won both of those.

Congrats to Conner on the win.

Wasn't at the game but was told that Scott's defensive game plan was to play man and pressure the ball and they never went away fromthat. Anyone who has seen Conner play knows that they are not a real good shooting team. Most teams zone them a lot.

You are correct and for the first half it was very effective as they were able to go into halftime with the lead. Scott was able to hold Gambrel in check the whole game, which is not an easy task. She is a heck of a player. But as stated before 2 other players had very good nights and were able to secure the win for the Lady Cougars.

As a side note, not sure why Coach Kleete didn't switch or move to a zone, unless it was to take this opportunity to test the limits of the girls against some very good players in an environment of competition that just can't be duplicated. Conner is a tough opponent and the Lady Eagles have many more to come with Brossart making a resurgence and Campbell playing tougher than expected, preparation in every aspect is key. But take nothing away from Conner. They never quit, played above their norms and earned this win.
