He, or his assistants, should have read the entire book again after editing but before publishing the book. Citing sources in the end notes is not good enough to avoid plagiarizing. Thank you Mrs. Swarzkopf! (college English teacher)

Not every person will understand how to cite other's work properly, but whoever edited this book would definitely know. I'm not sure why it wouldn't have been fixed at that point.

He was caught doing the exact same thing in college and acknowledged it in his book then he turned around and did it again as an adult. That's not a misstep.

Seriously though, no person who has any kind of intelligence makes the same mistake twice. Once is a mistake. Twice is a pattern. He's too smart to make this kind of mistake twice.
