Holmes 82 St. Henry 51

A coach in the stands is treated like any other fan as far as officials go. If they cross the line you have game management remove them.

Holmes went on an 18 point run in the first quarter. St. Henry mixed in just about every combination they could and really didn't have an answer. They made it interesting in the 3rd quarter by cutting what was a 33 point lead to inside 20, but the deficit was just too great. Jynea Harris had 26 points for Holmes and Jordan Miller took the Lady Cru on her back in the second half, ending with 18. Holmes shot 47 free throws, connecting on 32.

St.Henry made a great run, both offensively and defensively in the 2nd half. They looked like the light came on and they finally believed they could play with the Holmes team. The first half was another story. It's early January, we'll see how these teams end up come March.

Look- this is all I will say on the subject then I'm done.

I've coached plenty myself - and as a coach, you need to compose yourself differently than parents and fans. The players you coach mimic your reactions and when your reactions include yelling and flailing around in the stands, then your setting a poor standard. If the administration doesn't see that then that's a whole other issue IMO.

I have no first hand knowledge of this game as I was not in attendance. I have however been in attendance for some of Walton's and NDA games. I would say that Coach Foust and Coach Clinkenbeard really push the envelope with some of their behaviors on the bench. Yet , these coaches are held in high esteem and their behaviours are dismissed as an expression of passion for their teams. I sense a double standard here.

Yes, behavior can be taken too far from a coach on the bench- I've never seen either of the coaches you mention in action, so. I can't comment. I'm talking about the behavior of a Varsity Asst Coach who was in the stands watching the JV game. IMO, every coach- especially a coach in the stands no less- should show a little more professional restraint.

Hate that this Holmes team is as good as it is and has worked hard to be successful on and off the court and every week this coaching staff faces a constant barrage of distain!!! Comments after every game are very seldom about the play on the court and are aimed at the antics of a passionate coaching staff! Maybe that's how Perkins and staff like it!! Keep your eyes on the coaching staff and your going to miss a good game when we play you!

Jordan Miller is one of the Best Guards in area and doesn't get the credit she deserves. The girl can play ! Holmes is the Best Team I've seen so far this year in the state ! Very deep and loaded with talent !

They have a Great Team , I loved to watch them play. But if your up by 30 pts , sometimes you just don't need to show all that passion for your team.

It's funny you say that...A St Henry fan told me that Holmes is 20 points better than HC. Do you agree?

I wouldn't say 20pts , but right now Holmes is the better team. But HC did have injuries going on and still do. Things may change by the end of the season. I would like to catch a Highlands and SK game soon , do they play at all this year?

It's the last game of the year for HHS. At HHS on Feb 19th.

I think the jv game was closely contested and exciting but no fan or coach got overly excited about a 31 pt. win??

The JV game was exactly the time when the Holmes head coach was screaming from the stands.
