January 2, 201511 yr Revamping the home office, where is a good place to look for home office furniture? Need a good desk, preferable and L shaped one, File cabinets and storage, chair. We got a decent sized file cabinet from Target recently. Pretty reasonably priced, and does the job. One place we've had a lot of luck on furniture, although never bought a desk there, is Kroger Marketplace.
January 2, 201511 yr Staples or check out Sauder, it is a company that makes a lot of pressed board furniture. You have to assemble but it is usually pretty sturdy.
January 2, 201511 yr My home office is full of Ikea furniture. 3 years in and it's holding up very well. However, spend the money on a good chair. I got a cheap one from Staples or Office Max/Depot (one of those stores), and it didn't last a year. Granted, I'm still using it, but the seat is torn up and the cushion is shot. I needed an L-shaped desk due to the configuration I wanted in the room, but I didn't want to spend $1500+ on one, hence the reason I went the Ikea route.
January 2, 201511 yr My Sauder U shaped desk has made the test of time for 18 years. I'm on my 3rd chair. I agree do buy a good one. Mrs.TAC and I are in the mattress market. She says we need to dump a lot of money For a good mattress since we typically spend 8 hours or a third of a day in it. I told her if that is the case I should spend the same amount on a chair that I sit in for the same amount of time daily.
January 2, 201511 yr Sam's Club usually has one or two styles in stock, pretty heavy and sturdy stuff.
