3rd Place game in the Traditional Bank Classic at LexCath.

Some fun matchups to watch:

Jeremiah Bell vs. Michael Stafford

Colton Elkins vs. Raymond Spalding

Hagen Tyler vs. the long arms of Levitch and others closing out on his shot.

Coach Adams vs. Coach Szabo.

I hope my Rebels have some gas in the tank left to make this a good and competitive game. It's a great measuring stick for us.

Looks like we got our wish after all.

Should be fun. I'm sure the team and staff will be rejuvenated after a tough night tonight.

Others have said that before.

You do not want me to bring it. You will not be able to withstand the waves that crash on the shore and the winds that blow across the heath when I bring it. Have mercy on you if you ever see me bring it.

Good luck to the Shamrocks tonight.

I'm curious to see if yesterday was a wake up call. I've been waiting for them to get mad for a while now and they don't ever seem to get mad very much. Maybe today.

I predict that a college coach will be there to watch Colton Elkins.

What coach might that be?

This game will be interesting. Two teams that I didn't expect to be playing for third place. Trinity lost to a team that was better than I expected. The Boyle game was more surprising than Trnity's given that it wasn't even a competitive contest. With the addition of Bell, and after watching Casey's game vs Catholic, I really expected Catholic's style of play to favor Boyle.

I think we will learn a lot about the Rebels tonight.

My son made the comment that they never show any emotion at all.

Disagree. The only thing we'll learn about the Rebels tonight is how much gas is left in the tank after playing their 5th game in 5 days against 5 high quality opponents. We'll also find out if Hagen Tyler is still sick when we get there as well. If this was a regularly scheduled game on a Saturday we'd learn something. I think we'll come out and do the best we can against a team that some say is the best team in the state but I wouldn't take a thing away from this game about either team. Nothing that happens tonight will change anything that I perceive about Boyle County or Trinity.

The problem is that they'll be playing their 5th game in 5 days.

It's true. During the last two years you could count on Craig Owens to have a big moment or two where he went crazy to get a rebound he shouldn't have had. That guy just isn't on the team right now.

Heaven help everyone else if they ever figure out how to let that emotional release happen from time to time.

PP, you stated above that this would be a good measuring stick for Boyle and that you were sure the team would be rejuvenated after last night's loss?? As Wireman said, 5th game in 5 days for the Rebels. Trinity is playing their 4th in 4 days and are coming off a much harder fought game last night. I don't know about Trinity, but Boyle goes 9-10 players deep. They will be tired but they will be fine!

If Boyle were playing for third place against "just any team," I would agree with you. But a chance to beat Trinity is about as motivating as a chance to bring home the championship trophy. I really do think it'll be a good measuring stick. This will be the first game this year where I'm not picking them to win. But if they are as good as I think they are, they will give Trinty all they want - and may actually get the W. Either way, I think it'll be a good gauge.

Trinity is going to go on a run early in the game and they will look like a machine. There will be great ball movement on the wing and they'll knock down some jumpers and Spalding will get some touches and convert some nice low post moves. They may be up as much as 10-15 points. Then the third quarter will start. How Boyle County responds to that will determine if they are able to win the game or not.

I do think they will be rejuvenated and that the players and staff have every intention of winning the game. I disagree that "we will learn a lot about the Rebels tonight." Regardless of what happens tonight if people haven't learned all they need to know about the Rebels then I'm glad they haven't been paying attention. :lol2:

If you want to use this game as a gauge then be my guest. As I stated before nothing that happens tonight is going to change my perception of our team or Trinity's.
