You have your opinion OLD and I have mine. While I think Holmes is a very good team I think they are a notch below both Holy Cross and Highlands at this point. We can check back with each other when/after they play. Best of luck to the Bulldogs.

 

You are right Holmes is a notch behind those 2 teams but lets not forget Holmes beat Highlands last year by 1with a buzzer beater by Haris. I don't do rankings because of right now all 3 teams are unbeaten so we'll see when they play who's the best of the best

Hmmm no love for the LADY Dawgs I see!! A notch below!? Interesting! Cracks me up how people base opinions on word of mouth! Lady Dawgs return 4 starters from lasr years team 2 junior's a sophomore and a freshman! Add a starter that was at New Cath the last few years a starting point guard from Newport(defensive stud)and and quite possibly the best junior in Cincinnati last year(mine and many others opinion) but just a notch below! Hmmm interesting

I seen East Carter last week in Shelby County... interested in seeing how Holy Cross handles their athletes!!

All three teams are very good and we are lucky to have this much talent in NKY. Makes for a great season. All 3 have a little different style, so I will be fun watching the different styles match up. But honestly...nothing matters...until it matters. Not matter what the three do against each other in the season, it's all about who plays the best at NKU in March. That tournament is shaping up to be possibly the most competitive ever. Just about any other year, any one of these teams is a clear favorite to win the region. This year...who knows???

 

And I'm not forgetting about many others. There are 3-4 other teams that can beat you if you let your guard down on any night. But the 3 teams mentioned are good. Let's enjoy the ride!

Agree 100% RCC...I only stated that "IN MY OPINION" HC and Highlands were the top 2 teams at the moment. I also said Holmes was very good as well but the Bulldog faithful got their feelings hurt for some reason. Everyone has an opinion. You are right too that this area is lucky to have such quality girls basketball this year.

Beat Highlands last year by 1 and lost to H.C. by 1 on free throws awarded to H.C. in the last seconds of their game all 3 teams are a year older a year more experienced H.C. added turner and Holmes added Tubbs, Johnson and Mayes.... PLEASE explain to me how Highlands and H.C. are a notch better than Holmes???

Really, you mentioned two teams that was HC and HHS being the clear top two before I mentioned the Lady dogs being 6-0 so let the chips fall where they may when the teams finally meet up. Everyone will see who is the top team coming real soon. It's to bad that most of the girls are close to one another because it would probably get real personal on here. The girls really respect one another so that in its self will make the games very interesting. Even when they meet up nothing will matter until the Districts and Regionals everything before that will show what each one has to improve on. They all do great things and will represent NKY no matter what.

Didn't Tony Perkins win 9th region coach of the year last year?

9th Region is far less predictable with new teams at the top. HC is tough, Holmes is a true competitor and Highlands is way overdue. I can't wait until tourney time because that is when the rubber meets the road. All else is just preparation.
