Well, Danny... first, I never said that "I recognize bad coaches."

 

My point was apparently hard for you to grasp... which was, "why do most folks feel its not OK to question, or criticize a HS head coach?"

 

Its funny, there is a mechanism in place for coaches to critique Refs every season. Why can't parents and players be afforded a similar evaluation mechanism? When I teach a college course, each and every one of my students gets to evaluate my performance at the end of the semester. Most professions do.

 

And just because a High School coach "keeps his job for years" does not necessarily mean they are doing a good job.

Was just looking at the brackets for the Republic Bank Classic and we may see round two of this game in the finals.

Don't get why they are playing this game. Neither team will get much from it.

 

The varsity kids that maybe don't get enough minutes or JV kids that may not see any minutes. But agree, won't help either school in the end.

Im still miffed at how the Colonels go from playing the #1 Team in the state to playing Bellevue. :ohbrother:

I was told at the BGP get together this weekend, that CovCath was in search of a game on this particular day an couldn't get anyone to play them and Coach Hicks from Bellevue was more than happy for his team to play the Blue Colonels.
