Baltimore Police Tase Woman, Delete Evidence From Phone For Recording Man's Arrest

Featured Replies

What about the dozens of people spilling out of the street from the nightclub?

Here's a solution. If you see the cops doing something you think is wrong and you want to videotape it, pull off the road.

Agreed.

Did they tell her to move? Did she move, or did she argue?

Why wasn't giving her a citation an option FIRST?

If she moves on she gets nothing, right?

If she gets out of the car a citation may be next, right?

While I still don't know if dragging her out of the car is right or not, follow instructions and it doesn't happen. I hate how we lose sight of that so often anymore.

Assume that she's being truthful and a man in handcuffs was being beaten. If she moves on and ignores it and everyone does the same, then the injustice goes unpunished and is likely to repeat itself. Everyone taking an "ah, I'll let someone else take the risk of turning an officer in" or an "it isn't my problem" approach doesn't resolve the underlying issue. Again, this is assuming that she's being truthful about what was filmed.

The fact that the charges filed against her were immediately dropped and that this is now moving to a civil suit, and that the Baltimore PD has already issued an apology about the language, taken together, tells me that whatever happened, this doesn't look good for the officers involved unless they have some kind of solid proof that she's lying.

They may be completely innocent, but evaluating the situation as it stands now, it definitely doesn't look good for them.

If the issue was REALLY that she was causing a traffic problem, why have no chargers been filed against her, and the original charges dropped?

Do you think prosecutors always make the right decisions?

She didn't seem to be cooperating when he told her to the vehicle did she? What makes you think she would cooperate in giving him get information?

Are you going to answer ANY of the questions I pose? :lol2:

So we can't assume the officers were in the wrong, but we can assume she wouldn't have cooperated. Got it.

I don't work for Baltimore police. I don't know these guys personally. I can't speak for them.

We can assume she wouldn't cooperate because she already refused to cooperate.

Right?

We can assume she wouldn't cooperate because she already refused to cooperate.

Right?

Just as easily as we can assume the cops were wrong because there was a man laying in the street next to a car....

You have ignored several of my questions, I wasn't going to point it out but since you brought it up.

You are free to make assumptions about anything you want. I can prove she didn't do what they told her to do...because she recorded herself not doing what they told her to do. Very unfortunate she didn't catch this "beating" on video.

I wonder if there is a medical report anywhere for the arrested male.

You can't prove she wouldn't have cooperated if issued a citation... Did they try to? No, so that is an assumption on your part, equal to my assumption.

I didn't say I could prove that. I said I could assume it based on her previous actions. She refused to get out of the road, she refused to get out of the car...

What is your assumption based on?
