Well then all you are doing is stating your opinion. The stats says other wise. I believe in the regular season Meade ranked #1 in points allowed followed by Manual. We held Warren Central (at Warren Central) to 10..Male (at Male) to 17..undefeated Central Hardin (At Central) to 8..high powered Henry Clay (#1 rusher in 6A) to 14 and last year 6A champ Scott co (At Scott) to 24.

 

By the way North Hardin had one the best offenses in the state. Their QB was ranked #1 and their RB #1 or 2 in 5A. North just had issues on defense.

 

Yes Trinity came in playing at a high level and beat us..they also put 30+ on Male..and 50+ on 6A runnerup Dixie Heights. We had one bad defensive game in the 14 we played. IF X and Manual played better D they might have made it to the 6A state semi finals.

 

Manual played all 6A schools except Central. Manual's defense gave up 84 points in the regular season, the KHSAA stats are total points scored and do not separate for actual points scored against the defense, so I am sure Meade's stats are a little different as well. Nonetheless, St. X and Manual didn't give up more then 30 points to anyone. Meade had a great season, but don't try to make it something it wasn't.

T scored 9 on X and I believe 14 on Manual, I could be wrong on that one.

 

Trinity scored 21 the first game, so in two games against Trinity they didn't score 48 points. Trinity scored 14 verses Manual and 7 of those were to start the game on a blocked punt.

Here's a stat for you opinion guy. Manual gave up 136 and Meade gave up 194 against a weaker schedule.

Meade played 3 teams with a balanced offense and gave up 17, 37, and 48, that is a fact.

Maybe Male, Manual, Trinty, and St.X should play their own championship series since everyone else is so unworthly of being on the same field offensively and defensively.

We agree on something...this thread was about defense. Defenses are measured by points allowed at every level not strenght of schedule. In the regular season stat wise Meade was #1...if you add the playoffs Manual edged Meade out by 10 (146-136). By the way I think Trinity had the best defense..They Won it All !!!!!

Jason Scott- 1st year DC, took over for Coach Mattingly (New Central Hardin HC). Yea it will be interesting to see the playoffs next year with Trinity in D3.
