Girls AP All-State Poll- No NKY Girls

Featured Replies

There is as I remember only like 10 people voting for the AP. They are basically concentrated in Lex. and Louis. etc. If you didn't play for LC or Scott or sign with UK you had a hard time getting on a team. I doubt if hardly any of the voters saw many games. That is why the CJ's coaches teams are more accurate.

There were 19 voters spread from across the state. It's hard to argue against the 1st/2nd team if you look at the caliber of their team and strength of schedule. Nice representation from the SEC, ACC, Sun Belt in the mix, so IMO it's more than living in Lexington or Louisville. I think you'll see similar names in the CJ.

Also, I thought there was a 3rd team last year with fewer voters.

I'm sure he would love to. Check out the list of colleges that the all-staters are signed with ... there are some big-time programs there. Some Division I signees are on the honorable mention list.

As I said, I don't follow girls b-ball closely. I know there are some talented girls in the state. However, if EVERY girl on that list is going D1, then Lantry supportes have no argument. However, I doubt that's the case, right?
