Henry with 27 points

Mullins had 19 points

Sammons had 14 points

Mason County Williams 9 points

Good solid test for the Royals' season opener. Started fast with leads of 8-0 and 10-2. Looks like Mason County will go with a 3-guard lineup for the foreseeable future; Pioneers were bigger and taller at most positions. Royals built the lead to 16 early in the fourth quarter; SK started playing with some urgency and hit a bunch of shots; but the final outcome was never in doubt. Pretty sure Coach O'Hearn would like to have finished just a bit stronger.

Dorian Henry with 27 points, 8 boards, 3 assists and 6 blocks. Sammons had 12 of his 14 in the final stanza for the Pioneers.

Mason County wins the JV tilt 51-36.

And for what it's worth, I noticed no appreciable difference between the PA delivery from last season and tonight's game.

anyone have the stats from the JV game?

anyone have the stats from the JV game?

I was only there for the last couple of minutes and didn't get over to the scorer's table for stats.

Robinson with 1 point? Did he get hurt or something or just an off nite?

Robinson really didn't get a lot of looks. SK struggled against Mason County pressure but seemed to gain some confidence down the stretch of the game. Although an L for SK, I liked what I saw down the stretch.
