I hate taking a knee when there is time on the clock in the first half. Especially when you are losing and the other team gets the ball to start the third quarter.

 

Not worth the risk at all. Look at the Ole Miss vs Alabama game this season, instead of taking the knee they ran the ball on a play that scores 1% of the time from where they were on the field, resulted in a scoop and score. Nearly cost the Rebels the game.

Defense did a lot better after the first 3 drives. Made the Bluebirds earn the 4th TD (two 3rd down conversions). Also prevented scores on the last 3 drives of the half.

 

On Offense the Knights have had success in the air when they have protected Reese Ryan. Rushing game is non-existent for the first game all season. Game could be a lot different if they had finished the drive that ended with the INT on the 5.

 

If the Knights can get a stop on the opening drive (Birds get ball first) they have a puncher's chance. If not, then it has been a good season.

 

Very very true. They HAVE to protect the ball on offense also. THose turnovers have killed them and they are lucky they still have a fighting chance in this game for now.

I agree with your logic but I have the Madden mindset all the time. My goal is to score at all costs everytime I have the ball. I'd be a horrible football coach. :lol2:
