Well, he helped me produce the ones you see in post #11! It was fun working with him. He left with about 2 minutes remaining in the game. He did not have much juice left on his phone from all that posting in the updates thread.

So you both were staying warm together while I was freezing.....thanks buddies haha. Just making sure by pal lawnboy is ok. Yes Smith did play for NewCath jr high team

Nice!! I was freezing. I forgot to say earlier that I was standing right there for the Newport fumble on the kickoff. The young man was down. Knees were on ground stretching out for another yard or two when ball came out. Refs weren't to bad tonight but missed that one. In the nfl the red flag would have been tossed and call reversed back to Newport ball.

Funniest thing for me was when some fans got upset with the clock not running with 4:52 left in the game. They thought the group of us in the media room were running the clock and the scoreboard! They started banging on the glass. At another time, they wanted to remind us of the correct number of timeouts. Well, here is what happened. The entire press box had power issues tonight. The TV crew got disconnected a couple times and the scoreboard did a reset once or twice. I think the operators were doing their best to get the board right and not hold up the game. That is one old stadium.

If Jacob Smith would have stayed at Newport, NCC is not even in this game.

I also forgot to mention that i sat close to the Holy Cross coaches in the stands at the beginning of the game and the entire time they were making fun of NewCath players coaches every play they ran and every formation they used. I was shocked to hear it from their staff. After awhile I just moved. True story I heard it all with my own two ears.

Jealousy is ugly.

Newport has good size( bigger than newcath) and speed but no depth at all. NewCath has more athletic kids and are FAR better coached and it showed tonight. When I am coughing all day tomorrow I am blaming lawnboy for not letting me sit with him

When I got home all 3 of Daddy's Little Girls were staying the night with friends, leaving me and Mrs. Lawnboy home alone, you take advantage of opportunity's like this whenever possible.

Say what you want... this game was won at the line of scrimmage. NCC oline dominated from the get go...period. At the beginning of the season there were many posters talking about how Newport's NG would dominate throughout the season. Newcath's center and guards had a great game tonight.............period. They gave their QB more than enough time to throw the ball and the middle was wide open for runs. Great job for a group that was written off mid-season and hats off to coach Faust for getting these guys ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This place is crazy, every post should be taken down if it's negative towards athletes and coaches. Don't ask who some might be related to or they're full of crap.

 

Whatever, Jacob wouldn't even be playing football...besides NCC has other players that would step up like they have all year. Jacob is where he needs to be...just ask his mother!
