November 21, 201411 yr Wasn't aware that Asia, Africa, and South America constituted the "World". 80% of the world population lives on one of those 3 continents.
November 21, 201411 yr Wasn't aware that Asia, Africa, and South America constituted the "World". They said they were the worst areas. Got to start where the worst problem is, don't we?

November 21, 201411 yr 80% of the world population lives on one of those 3 continents. And.... Still not the "World".
November 21, 201411 yr Who is in charge of the animal census? How many people are going forest to forest, sea to sea counting animals? What is the margin of error? We can't count votes in an election properly but can nail down the number of animals in the world? Color me skeptical.
November 21, 201411 yr Here's the problem when they just kind of throw out numbers all jumbled up and no one can really make sense of them and they very well could be wrong. They lose credibility. So the next time they throw out a report that says the blue footed Getslow beetle has declined in population by 95% over the last 2 years and that it could cause an ecological disaster to Jefferson County...well who really cares cause they probably aren't right anyway and just trying to throw a big number out there and scare everybody. But what if this time they ARE right and the blue footed Getslow beetle IS almost extinct and Jefferson County is doomed? See where the problem lies there?

November 22, 201411 yr We need to take care of the environment, but what do we do? The cold hard truth - best thing the US could do is stop sending any aid to any part of it and let disease and war run its course. We ain't going to do that though.
