You create excitement monday through thursday, you teach kids to play within the rules of the game on friday, and to not be disrespectful of the rules or the other team. Clearing your bench during regulation is not appropriate for any reason. Not to turn this into a FHS vs FCHS thing but that response does not surprise me the unsportsmanlike penalties you guys accumulated cost you a win or at least a chance at one vs us this year.

Couldn't disagree more. The coach knew nothing about it. It was done by the players to help them energize themselves. Nothing wrong with that.

For those that are saying the Anderson Co. fans are disrespectful, I find that highly suspect. I was at every game, home and away and at every JV game, home and away. I sit in the same spot for every game. My children are with me. They happen to be black. I have never, and I mean never heard the n word from anyone. Could it have been said, sure. I sit fairly close to the press box and never heard anything like that.

 

Never heard an opposing coach cursed or threatened on the way to or from the press box. I never saw adults or students making fun of an injured player.

 

Could some fans be rude, I'm sure they could. If it happened, it is not widespread nor condoned by the majority. There are bad apples in every crowd. Anderson Co. does not have a whole crowd of bad apples.

Agreed. I didn't like it either. Student section. Not adults. I expect that type of things from students. Been subjected to much worse at other schools by their student sections.

I was on the away side and there was a large group of guys standing there 4 or 5 were really obnoxious and probably had one set of teeth between all of them. More sad was the school official who was watching and did nothing. The students I encountered all seemed respectful. I didn't here any racial slurs but some of the kids said they heard it apparently not sure where it came from. The other thing that killed me was the smoking right by the field. I thought that was illegal on school grounds in Kentucky? And if that wasn't fun enough having to hop scotch around all the dip spit was fun too.. I thought about taking some video of it these morons but chose not too...I really wish I had after reading others experiences there.... I have been to a zillion high school games all over ky/oh.. Anderson County is way up there for rudest fans that I have ever seen...If maybe the school employee actually had the guts to confront them I wouldn't feel so annoyed by the situation.
