Crowds would have to double from typical girls state tournament or they would be swallowed up by cavernous Rupp. Sometimes a smaller venue is better. Memorioal Colliseum would be a better fit than Rupp, but that would definitely give the appearance of treating the girls second class. The only negative that I've experienced with Bowling Green is the five hour drive! The same complaint that our friends on the western end have about Lexington!

Actually, Rupp Arena has curtains that can be dropped around the upper arena so this would not be problem at all.

I haven't heard the rumor either. I sure hope that it is not true. There is too much of that kind of thing that goes on, for whatever reason a kid jumps from one school another bc of a certain team or they are told they will get noticed by more college recruiter's or something. Is an athlete is good, they will get noticed no matter which school they are at.

She was wearing maroon and gold at the StateTourney in fact she made the jumbotron!! So in essence it wasn't a rumor!! Again Royal Blue your 16th Region awareness is mind boggling!! On a sidenote, Thomas Tolliver was seen wearing a UK basketball shirt at school yesterday!!! HMMMMM???? Can a visit from Tubby be on the horizon???

Tolliver had a good year, just don't think that he is quite ready for the Wildcats yet.

talked to Whitney. She said she is not leaving Raceland but was enjoying the Maroon and Gold attention.

I think that all that amounted to was just Whitney being Whitney, a typical teenager spending time and having fun with friends. I understand that Whitney bleeds orange and black - lol. I can say that I never heard a bad word or comment on her and that she is a really nice person/kid that has a lot of friends everywhere.

Raceland should be district favorite with all that talent coming back.

Russell returns 2 1,000 Point scorers and 4 starters, I'm sure they will be a formidable opponent.

Forgot to post my congrats to Paige Porter for making the all EKC team along with Whitney Spears. With these two and ALL the rest of the talent they have coming back next year should be a memorable one.

I heard tha t Lewis County and Greenup aren't playing in the district. To much competition. Can't compare to Raceland or Russell.
