Antonio Blakeney To Visit LSU This Weekend

Per KSR, Blakeney will visit LSU this weekend.

While that's not really news, as a UK fan, I think this is more serious competition than we might see at first glance.

#1: He's going to LSU for the weekend that they host the Alabama game. That's probably going to be a scene in and of itself. LSU looks like a very fun campus and I'd imagine it will be rocking this weekend.

#2. He's visiting with his close friend and AAU teammate Ben Simmons. Simmons is the Godson of an LSU assistant coach.

Does anyone else think this is much ado about nothing, or are you more inclined to say that LSU might actually have a better chance at reeling him in than most would give at a passing glance?

Cal never really made a push, so LSU was the expected choice for a while. Pretty clear that Newman is the primary scoring wing target for UK...

What's your opinion of UK's chances of signing Newman? Seems like Cal has put a lot of effort into getting him in a Kentucky uni next year.

It looks like LSU may get another nice addition in Arizona power forward, Craig Victor. Victor has decided to transfer and is considering LSU and Tulane. That would be a big addition to what already looks to be a solid LSU team next year.

Well that would certainly help. What are you're thoughts on Victor GT? Just over shadowed by a couple of strong recruiting classes for Arizona?

For the most part, yeah. He's an undersized four that does his damage 10 feet and in. Not a big time scorer, but will get some garbage points and do work on the glass. Should be a good glue guy for the big names coming in...
