Ironton fan here and first I want to say Good Luck Rams in the playoffs you are a solid team than can make some noise in the playoffs if not win it all. That being said I agree having playoffs set up where your in divisional set isn't fair or good. I know people in Ohio hate the playoff set up there due to their team getting left out for a very weak schedule but it is the fairest there is so far. Earn your way in and prove yourself is the attitude. Yes some teams 4-6 made the playoffs but they was teams that could win it all. Ironton almost did at 5-5 ended up state runner ups but had a chance to win it all. Raceland plays good teams I admit and not only wins but holds their own. But when you are forced to play teams by the state for district reasons is another matter. Yes I will also agree if they was allowed to join a conference with other schools in Ohio and Kentucky and maybe even WV you will have bad teams to every year. But at least they would have the chance to get honors and a conference tittle after 10 games. And maybe play another team that earned it's way in the playoffs and not a 0-9-1 team that just got lucky because 4 out of 4 was allowed in. Raceland is a very good team but playing a team by default like this isn't fair to them.

The Raceland Touchdown Club always offers to feed opposing teams that have to travel very far. Normally, we always fed the team after the game prior to them departing for home.

As others have said, thank you and good luck to your Fighting Tigers. Traditions are special and Ironton's tradition is 2nd to no one in our KY., OH., WVA Tri State area. That's why Raceland likes to schedule teams like Ironton, Ashland, etc.. Our Rams will have gained more from our games with Ironton and Ashland in the last two seasons than scheduling some "sister's of the poor' Jr. high teams just to get a W.

O.K. RAMS .... You have read all of the two pages of post saying that all that you have to do is basically show up, if that and you will win......

Yes, you should have no problem IF YOU PLAY !! Those three words are everything. This game is one that you do not want to pick up any bad habits in like not being focused, taking plays off, not paying with desire / fire in your gut. not executing. Any one or all of those will get you beat, if not in this one then certainly in the remaining games ........... Region Semi, Region Championship game and Final Four / State Championship game.

Question is are you satisfied with just a District Title ? If So, turn in your gear - Quit - have the AD to call the khsaa to forfeit the game now so Phelps can get scouting reports on the teams that they may play in the Region semi final and prepare to go to that game, scout their next opponent. Besides, just as well probably bc Fairview has obtained the services of yet Another WVA running back last week and they plan on blowing you out IF you get to the next round anyway. Never mind about all the other goals like a repeat Region Title, another 1A State Semi. Just relax, save yourself the effort.

Raceland is out due to the varsity volleyball competing in the state tournament. Very glad they moved it up in order to let Phelps eat.

I can understand that. I also think that they are expecting snow in the EKY mtn. areas., may be rough travel for them the later it gets.
