You must give credit to Coach Troy Thomas this year. Who would have thought that Rowan County would get that far. 3 eighth graders, 6 freshman, and 3 soph's and 1 junior. Wow!! He is definitely a great defensive coach, and he should be tough for next year if he doesn't take another coaching job.

I agree! Seems like he is doing a great job. Looks like there might be several other opportunities out there for him to explore- it will be interesting to see if he was to give the boys side a go.

Way to go Ladies... :thumb:

The chemistry lab is cooking now!

Uhh, I talked to the girls LRCW, and they said that your two years with them sure seemed like four... :sssh:

I'm sure it's because they couldn't believe that anyone could impart that much love and wisdom in just two years...

Maybe it just the bad math that you guys are teaching out there at "the Hill"!!!

I'm ABSOLUTELY just joking!!!! Couldn't resist!! Congrats to the Lady Royals on advancing to the State Tournament!!

Congrats and Good Luck Lady Royals! and to Rowan Co. congrats on a great season.

Rose Hill becomes the only All A Region Champion (Boys or Girls) to make the Sweet Sixteen. Great job.

Quite an accomplishment!

Congrats Lady Royals!

Hats off to the Lady Vikings...great job making believers out of the doubters...The Lady Vikings and Coach Thomas should be mentioned for the simple fact that he took a relatively young team, scheduled them against very good teams, and showed them first hand how good they would have to be to be considered the best! Their record, 12-18 after last nights loss, looks horrible on paper until you look at who they played...He taught them how to win, and all I can say is "Watch out in '06-'07"...I seriously doubt coach Thomas is even thinking of other jobs...he will have the weapons next year to take Rowan County to STATE...Amber Riddle, great game...just be careful when punching the hardwood floor...it's a good way to break your hand...congrats on all-tourney team! Tell your BITTER teacher hey for me!

Sorry Spindoc, no time to say more here, but quickly...

When I feared they would find no reason to compete, the Lady Royals found motivation in the second half in Britt Faulkner's fire and Kala Faulkner's defensive pressure and four 3s.

Nice to be able to win such a game when coming out so obviously flat and out of synch.

Congratulations to the Lady Royals, the cream rose to the top, which is where they deserved to be. Good luck next week at Western Kentucky, I'll look forward to watching you play on Saturday.
