#2 did not play...but #12 still is a good QB. We got to him often in 1st half but had to change up the way we tackled him at halftime and that made the difference. Would have been an entirely different kind of challenge w/ #2 in there. Our D got a pick to set up one score and stripped the ball on a sack and went into the endzone for a defensive score on the 1st drive of the 2nd half. LaKunta Farmer (former head coach at Doss) has done wonders for us defensively.

 

Not sure what time of possession was tonight, but it was pretty lopsided. The key to the whole thing was us keeping the ball away from their offense. We ran 70 plays and had 3 drives of over 10 plays running almost identical offense than Scott Co. ran -- really helped us being able to see how they defensed both Scott Co. & Dunbar in games earlier this year. Station has some nice aggressive LB's & Safeties who had been making all the run stops in games vs. Wing-T...I told our guys blocking at the 2nd & 3rd level would make the difference and proud they stepped up to the challenge.

 

Quality win for our kids in a season of total transition--but am glad we're on the opposite side of the bracket from them. They're going to be a tough out especially if #2 is healthy. Frank Parks has got the exact right scheme for their ABUNDANCE of talent. Big props tonight go to the weatherman too.

Ballard has quietly been improving and playing very good football.
