Come on DAD, really, you couldn't of watched the same game, no way. The only time Cooper scored was at the end of the game with Dixie's backup's in, It sounds like you talked to sk#1 about this game, and didn't watch it yourself. It wasn't that close, as bad as you two want to make it out to be, and that's the REAL truth, good griff.

 

 

I was at the scrimmage and he is correct. Cooper held their own,, if not for the big plays from Moore and a coverage mistake by their corner it is a different ballgame. I think Dixie wins this game,, but if the Jags show up ready to play,, they make this game real interesting. I am sure both teams have improved from that scrimmage,, so I will be there watching to hopefully see a good football game.

If Cooper stops Moore and Zajac they can win.

Find it hard to believe that anyone on this thread would use a scrimmage as a comparison. It's like comparing apples to oranges, show up tomorrow and then everyone can talk about how both teams did in an actual game.

I'm a Cooper parent and I really don't care if we lose this one. Would be THRILLED with a W, but I just want there to be no injuries. I am way more focused on how we look against a really solid 6A squad and if we're prepared ti compete in the weeks to come. My kids? They want the W......

I don't know why I am referred to as DAD? But I will bite. The ten and tens were very even. No team scored if I remember correctly. Dixie made three big plays which was the difference in the scoring. I never once said Cooper was better than Dixie, nor did I say Cooper should have won that scrimmage. I did say that Cooper held there own, which is accurate, as Dixie had 3 explosive plays. Does that mean I think Cooper is better than Dixie? Never said that. What I do know is that if Cooper can limit the Dixie big play then they could keep this game in reach. I also know that both of these teams are very different than they were TWELVE weeks ago.

 

Ultimately, I stand by my comment that I don't care if Cooper wins or loses. Do I want them to win and will I be cheering? Of course. Is my real concern starting next week against Woodford County? Yes it is.

I don't know anything about Cooper but I've seen a lot of Dixie and I'll take them in this game. I have no prediction for score or margin of victory as I'm sure both coaches will be resting guys, especially in the second half. Just looking forward to a clean, injury-free game. I'm not positive I'll be able to make it to the game as I have an exam tomorrow night in my night class but if I get done early enough I will be heading to Rice Mountjoy Stadium. If I do get there, I'll try to stop up in the box and say hi to you buttels at half if you have a free moment. They normally put you upstairs or downstairs?

Dixie has not been about the home run ball this year. Their offense is quick but as a unit they are a slow grinding machine. If by big play you mean RB/QB breaks one for 70 yds, well that is just great execution

Well, from what I'm hearing Dixie is gonna go hard with their starters tonight for SR night. Sounds like it will be New England Patriots style... "don't rest your starters and no lead is safe."

 

Also, I have heard that Drew Moore needs just 2 rushing TDs to become the all=time rushing leader at Dixie.

 

If my source is right, then its gonna be a long night for Cooper. Although, they can always fall back on, "we rested our starters."

After the devastating injuries Cooper has had this year, I almost WISH we would rest our starters. I don't see Borchers doing that unless/until the game is out of reach. Leaving the door wide open for the always intelligent response: "That'll be the 1st quarter!" from some bench-sitters dad. Have at it......

I think Dixie is only worried about this season right now, focus on the moment. Why would you care about Dixie after this season, there no longer in sk's district next year. I'd be worried about your neers against Ryle next year, who will be a lot better, with all the young players they play, I'd be very worried about Ryle next year.
