Was a great game by the Eagles. All I can say. I'll leave the floor for comments to everyone else.

Scott is a well-oiled machine. 1-0 at the half and they came out and dominated the 2nd half. As usual, tempers flared and MoCo wasn't used to playing a team like Scott and all that comes with that. Kudos to the Indians for hanging tough in spite of their frustrations.

One of the highest scoring teams in the state this year (MoCo.) didn't score a single goal in the regional tournament. I don't think Scott's defense ever gets the credit they should. In the one loss that Scott has in regulation, they played an entire half without their defensive leader, Evans. When the 3 senior backs for Scott are on the same page and play together, they are a tough wall to break. Especially with one of the best keepers in the state playing behind them.

Could be more about the strength of the NKY teams they had to play. If you compare the top 3 teams in Region 10, their SOS is about the same in the Maher Rankings... I think what happened speaks more to the quality of soccer in NKY.

Think if Trinity or St. X or Dunbar played a 47th sos schedule...and didnt throttle down at half..

I'm not certain how accurate the SOS rankings are on the Maher site. What is more difficult to swallow is some of the good teams throughout the state not just the 9th region that doesn't make it into the sweet 16 based on tough teams within a certain region.So while I do see your point, the real results will wash out after this week. For example if both the NKY teams move forward and make the elite 8 or the final 4 based on their SOS SH 15TH and Scott 47th what will that say about the SOS. Correct me if I'm wrong they still have to jersey up and play the match right. If SH for example listened to what everyone was saying about how CCH was the best team in the NKY and they really had a nice season bit it was going to be over last Saturday night at Tower Park. Well good thing for them they choose to turn off the noise and get to work.

I do agree on Maher...just a little more than a guess. Not enough date to give accurate reading. SOS in general may show a good team in weak district with a ton of goals. Same team playing better SOS likely to yield less win margin... All things aside, Scott is most dangerous team in tourney....
