This game is scheduled for 10/31 (Halloween night) at CAL at 7:30.

 

CAL has a bye this week and will come into this game at 9-0 after beating 2A #1 and defending champions DeSales last week 17-0. 6A #1 Male is 8-0 and still has their big rivalry game against Manual this week. Last week Male won an exciting thriller against a good Trinity team 35-34 in double overtime and should win this week.

 

This game really is just for bragging rights so I really hope no players for either team get hurt right before the playoffs.

 

Last year Male won 6-0 on two field goals. It was a well played game for both teams but Male prevailed. CAL had ball at midfield with 10 seconds left and threw a Hail Mary but did not convert as time expired. Starting QB (last year) Nathan Christmas also broke his wrist on this play and did not play in the playoffs.

 

Who you got and why?

I think CAL can be competitive in this one.

Based on the frigid forecast, this one could provide some bone jarring hits and come down to a few key plays in the fourth. Don't expect either team to hold back...17-14 Male in a close one. Hoping neither team sustains injuries going into playoffs.
