October 26, 201411 yr I never really thought about it before but there are a lot of hugely historically popular bands that are just TERRIBLE. This isn't anything new. If Aerosmith is on a Mount Rushmore of American bands, then the death of rock music in this country has been a great mercy to it as a musical form. Aerosmith has been rocking since 1970, that's 44 yrs of jamming and putting out hits. I doubt any American band has that type of tenure. If they don't get put on the mountain then there shouldn't be a mountain.

Not an authority on Aerosmith, but the only songs by them that I ever really liked was "Walk This Way", "Dream On", and their version of "Train Kept a rollin''... As time went by all they could get out of me was a cringe. It all seem to start getting ridiculous with them when they got involved with Sgt. Peppers. I didn't at all dig their "Come Together" cover either.
