Basketball season for 2014/2015 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Eastern? Remember, please be constructive.

Eastern lost a large part of their talent from last year's team. The two studs Raque and Spalding graduated. Kia Sivils played as a talented 8th grader and enrolled at Sacred Heart for high school. I don't look for them to be a threat in the 7th region.

What players have joined the program that will help them get to the elite level in the 7th region.

 

Collins is a threat from the outside, but will have trouble guarding quicker kids. Shavia Thompson has great upside, but needs to learn to play under control. Gets in foul trouble most of the time.

Porter can help, but who else is there to "silence the doubters"?

 

I don't see them beating Male, Manual, or Sacred Heart this year.

I can't stop you from using it as motivation, but I'm just an observer not a coach or a player. Sorry if your dander was ruffled with useless banter on a message board.

 

Good luck to your program coach. I honestly root for all of our kids in the state to perform at a high level and hopefully take it to the next level after high school.

Yes..Eastern beat Ryle by 4 in a close one. Very quick and bring pressure . Also have a god spot up shooter.

Well ... one down and two to go, so it seems. The Lady Eagles are, at the very least, No.-3 in the 7th region at this time. There's way too much time between now and the end to lock into any real pecking order now, they are now in the top three --- no doubt about it.
