No disrespect to our Raider fans on here, but last night was a poorly executed football game, played by two less than average football teams. I don't want to discredit either team, but based on last night, neither is good.

 

Curious what you would type if you WERE trying to disrespect them.

^ Don't try to make it what it's not Clyde. Both teams have weaknesses that they know will not win them a District yet. Yes, the oblong pigskin bounces funny, and next week it could bounce Ryle's way. But neither team has the horses yet. Both teams know where they need to get more mature. Ryle is closer than Campbell County and that was obvious on the field last night.

I don't want to discredit either team, but based on last night, neither is good. Thus, every team has a bad or looks like their execution is off. But it is CCHS who has looked like the wheels have fallen off!

 

4-4 is not life-ending (or playoff ending), but when your last three games have included two embarrassing blowouts and then one "MUST WIN", at home, against a mediocre team, and you lose, well how do you justify 4-4 not being that bad?

 

No disrespect taken but we are not a mediocre team. We were banged up to start the season and since we have gotten healthy we have only lost two games. One by 2 points (Shelby) and One by 7 points (SK). Good defense makes offenses look bad. Both played pretty well last night. Cooper was an anomaly and Sycamore and Scott County are what they are. We also played Bryan Station tuff preseason without both our backs. They were games to help get us better not our record. No creampuffs on our schedule. No one believes but our kids so that's all that matters. We will just keep beating teams that we are not suppose to and everybody can make excuses why we win. How about this for a change, Ryle is playing really good ball, has some really good players, and is not to be taken lightly. The sky is falling could it be?

Since high schools can't recruit there is not a team in this state that has no weaknesses. There isn't a team in this state or high school period that is going to go out and play perfect football every game. Somebody is always better than somebody in some area of the game. That's why you always have a winner or loser and every game doesn't end in a tie. Cambell battled and played tough at home, as they should. We were good enough to get the win. I'll take 7 point win's all year if we could. In the end its a W or L if by 2 or 50. so what standard are we being judged? What supreme football team do you hail from?

After reading through this thread it amazes me how quick people are to kick teams and coaches when they are down. People that haven't even seen CCHS play this year calling them terrible? Saying the coaching staff will be on the hot seat? Nobody that I know at CCHS is satisfied with district or regional championships but what NKY 6A coach has a 6A state championship under their belt? I'll answer that for you..... None. Zero. Zilch. Now if you want to say we are down or underachieving this year, I will agree with that but I'll leave it to Coach Lickert and staff to fix whatever the problem may be. I'm sure their goal is to fix it and make a run in the playoffs. I hope all the CCHS players and coaches read all this horse:poop: and come out with a chip on their shoulder. Stay focused boys, keep working hard and keep your TEAM goals in sight. :thumb:
