Great win for the Rebels.. Boyle is making a habit of ending the Warriors' seasons a few games early in football and now basketball..:irked: But I love the rivalry and Boyle has some awesome fans and supporters so I will be rooting hard for the Rebs to knock down some wins at Rupp and represent the region well..:thumb:

Thanks, for your support, we would have done the same for SW, if it was the other way around.:thumb:

Yes, it was a very good game. Sw gets some shots to fall in the 1st qtr and Boyle doesnt get out to such a big lead the game might have been different.

Dustin F not hitting his 1st 3 until about 3 mins to go in the 4th tells you how well SW shot the rock.

Great season by the Warriors! Sorry to see Dustin F's career end I have watched that kid grow since he was a ball boy when I played.

Good luck to Boyle at Rupp!!!

You are right that was the difference in the game. If SW could have hit some of their early shots and got a lead early in the game. they could have spread the floor and made Boyle play them M/M. Then I think it would have been a different outcome.

I do not think the officials did a bad job. They had no bearing on the outcome of the game. I think in the 3rd quarter every loose ball bounced to Boyle Co. and that prevented SW from making a run.

Both Crowds were great. If SW could have made a run early in the 4th quarter, they would have had to replace the roof. That crowd was awesome and loud.

Good Luck to Boyle at state. Coach Bottom is a class act and does things right.

Bottom LIne in this one : GOOD big beats Good Little.

Boyle Co. has eliminated SW from the post season 3 times now. so be warned if it happens again,we will kick you out to the 13th region like we did the laurel co schools. LOL

As most of you all know already, with the way that Southwestern plays, its really hard for them to be consistant. When you shoot 20+ 3 pointers a game, your not always going to hit enough to win. They were also too small to defend boyle's big man Staed. He is a man among boys. Is he only a junior?

Thank God the refs that called this game won't be at the sweet sixteen game cause they sure can't call a game....

Just because Southwestern didnt have a post presence and couldnt stop Boyle dosent give you a right to make up and excuse about the refs..... I knew SHWS would loose as soon as they faced a big guy.......LIVE BY THE THREE DIE BY THE THREE!

Mercer Co. had a big guy, PC had a big guy, Somerset had a big guy, East Jessamine had a big guy.

Not taking anything away from Boyle Co. because they are talented and well coached. But SW not having 2 of their top 6 players in the region really hurt their chances. Both Kirby Mayer and Casey Daugherty were sorely missed. With them, Edwards, Fothergill, Dalton, TW, wouldn't have had to play 32 min. on friday and then have to turn around and play 32 min on saturday.

If you think SW lived by the three and died by the three this year, you are not very knowlegable about SW basketball. They won ballgames by pressure defense.

Well obviously Dustin not hitting his first 3 until 2:49 to go in the 4th shows Fatigue. However I think it had more to do with not coming out of the game, which was due to not having proper depth more then it did having to guard the big man. Now don't get me wrong that didn't help that he was on him the whole game. Dustin was out of position down there with him, and he had to play out of position all year due to ZERO size.

Boyle County knew SW was going to be tired, and took chances by going zone on them. It worked b/c SW couldn't hit the ocean with a tennis ball on Sat night.

I did think the Officials had some effect on the game b/c it seemed to me and (I could be wrong) It seem on more then one occasion if the arrow was going to Boyle it would be a jump ball, but if it was SW ball in a tie up then they called a foul and those can change games...Now you can say Oh well you are just blaming the refs for a loss...... No I am not. I am saying that is what I saw, and I have played sports all my life. The fact that SW took the ball down low with a big man and only got to the free throw line I think 2-3 times in the 2nd half, raises my eyes brows some b/c Boyle is a physical team.

However the lack of an inside game, and not being able to hit shots to get Boyle out of the Zone killed them.

The first 4 minutes killed SW. Boyle's intensity and SW lack of, for the first 4 is what doomed SW. If you blinked you would have missed it then it was 16-4. I have only seen SW play 4 or 5 times this year. It did look to me that they were playing some kind of gimmick D in the first quarter. Was it or was it that they had 2 different people in there. They looked lost on how to rotate. I thought the refs were terrible all week. My thoughts and prayers are with the 14th.. Did anyone see Tamme's(#11) finger. Ouch!!Good luck Boyle!

:fight:

Good win for Boyle Co....I actually got this region right......

Mercer Co. had a big guy, PC had a big guy, Somerset had a big guy, East Jessamine had a big guy.

You are right, hector. SW won 23 games by pressure defense. As I have said before, SW would rather shoot a layup as shoot a three. They missed numerous FG attempts within 4 feet of the basket.

I said SW had a bad night, but if you could net see the refs and all the bad calls then you must have been blind... Maybe you should watch the tape and see how many no calls there was on boyle. I think with just a couple calls where they should have been and the big guy would have set most of the first and then SW would have gotten in the game some and even with a bad night they still could have won....The kid that broke his finger and then came back in the game was the real play maker for boyle all night and i felt for him everytime he had to catch the ball after he did that...Played in a loof pain and still did well....

Seth Tamme is a warrior (no pun intended). He is a great football player and has taken some really big hits (some from the SW defense!) I saw his finger and thought there was no way he would come back in. There is a great football rivalry between these schools, now it looks like there might be a new one!

Good luck at the Sweet 16 Rebels! I know you will represent the 12th well.
