Ok... not trying to make this sound bad but how do we lose our top player yet we are better? This is not meant to be anything other than to open dialogue. I have my opinion but would like to hear yours.

Lets hear yours too!

Sydney Anderson is a player that should have been ranked. Probably the best defender in the 10th to say the least. GRC leads the way this year with Scott County being the dark horse.

1st you will never hear me say top player. Yes the player that was the leading scorer left the program. However, that player also led the team in turnovers and not by a small margin either. Whether it was court vision or a different agenda, i know of a couple of games where it either cost Scott the game or came close. But the biggest improvement will come from a better distribution of the ball. Their is a ton of young talent on the team from the freshman Stapleton and Clephane, to the sophomore class of Davis, Stevers, and Wagner and on up through the junior and senior classes. Better distribution will make them harder to defend as you will see multiple players attacking the basket instead of one. Distribution will lead to fresher legs allowing for a faster pace. Lastly distribution will enhance even more an already upbeat team moral as more players are involved. Like I said before whether this years team surpasses last years or not I can't say. It will take a few games to get the team gelled especially since 3 of the players could possibly be involved with volleyball into the post season. But either way IMO this will be an exciting season of Lady Eagle Basketball and hopefully a lot of fun to watch.

Assuming you meant Scott HS as the dark horse. Unless Scott Co. was moved from the 11?

Bailey Cummins will be the best player in the region by seasons end. Definatily the second best if not the best right now. She is a force. But I am a little biased.

Better than Skinner...really. She is not listed in the top 10. Where does she play?

Bracken. Got her 1000 point as a sophmore not sure how many she has currently. And she is third on the list posted above. :idunno: going into her junior yr. this season.

Bailey is a very nice player. Point guard with a scorers mentality. Long arms, very smooth and slippery with the ball. Excellent vision when she wants to. Shoots the three ball well. (She gives the ball an awkward rotation and her form isn't text book, but it works.)

Have no idea about best player stuff, but yes, she'll be one of the top ones. :thumb:

Ranking seem right on then as Skinner and Simms are ranked above her IMO.

We will agree to disagree. :thumb: I've not seen the girl from Paris play so can't say anything about that but I will say can't have best in the region discussion and leave Cummins or Greene from Mason Co out of it. I agree "as of today" Skinner is probally at the top and deserveing so. But by mid season that may be a different story all together.

But we got all winter to discuss that. Right now it's all about the vollyball and we are at the Filly Fling at Harrison Co. If I'm not mistaken GRC is here and im looking foward to watching them and all the other teams in it. Along with my lady bears. :thumb:

Yes I'm sorry I did mean Scott HS

Yes will will agree to disagree....:lol2: Also by the end of season, Sidney Anderson should be a top 5 player in the region. Will be interesting to come back and visit this thread. ....

I can see Scott being a lot better this year just because they where so young the past couple of years. They had a lot of freshman and sophomores in the rotation on the Varsity Level . The JV Team was very strong last year also. But they did lose a couple nice guards that will hurt the depth of the team.

To which guards are you referring?

To which guards are you referring?

That would be Niece and Benson.
