More and more people are figuring out that I actually know what I'm talking about lol, it's the ones who refuse to admit that only continue to make me look smarter and smarter by posting without first reading what I posted when replying to my post.

Ryle is too low! We earned that! But this week will be the test to see if I'm right or wrong. Cov Cath is the mid season test that tells us how far we have come. It will tell if we earned our respect. If I'm right, can we finally get some respect, and MOVE us UP? We gave SK the game. Played everyone else close except Scott co. and Sycamore. We had some early season injuries, that we have recovered from. I think (my opinion) that we are better than 7th or 8th. I think we are at least 4th or 5th at this point. But like I said we'll see after Friday night.

Ryle yes was learning a new system to start the year, and has gotten better since then. However if I am correct Cooper had the majority of their team making their first varsity starts ever that game and still won. They have gotten better too with the experience they have gained even while dealing with all their injuries.

We still disagree a sometimes, but at least we have mutual respect for "why". You're not that smart!! Well at least I'm not gonna admit it on here!

This is why it's tough to look at past scores and rank teams. ONLY that program know and remembers what was really going on at that particular moment in time. I know you kinda have to use past results to rank, but really more of it needs to be "whats going on with that team right now" How are they playing and are they trending up or down.

The game I saw Cooper definitely looked like the better team and the end result showed that. I didn't realize then that Cooper had such a young team and most of their guys were making their first varsity starts and still won. So you mentioned Ryle's improvements, then you have to assume Cooper has also improved greatly too with all their guys now having experience. If they played again it would probably be another low scoring hard fought game, but that edge would go to Cooper since they have showed they can and did win that type of game already. I do believe Ryle will keep showing how much improved they are though, and will surprise in 6A.

I have this little guy in my gut telling me you may be right. As they continue to improve, learn how to win and understand that the tough first half of the schedule was intended to prepare them for the back half, I think they have a chance to make a run. I think we all know they have the athletes, but just haven't put it together in the past couple years. If they can figure out the mental side, they may be able to make a run.

Agreed! I usually try to attend the high school game that I think will be the best one of the week. I am thinking that this week I will be at the Ryle vs CovCath game, because I think it should be a great one. Ryle had a tough year last year, but the CovCath game was one they had won and let it slip away. So it should be a great game this year, and a game Ryle has a good chance to win.

I thought they had a bye this week...and no lol, I won't be traveling down to So Oldham haha. Those days are over unless its a playoff game.

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to the drive down. But when you have a son in the game you have to make the trip. Plus this will be his first week back since his injury. So I can't miss it. South Oldham is this week. Bye is the following week.
