The prayer although planned was overlooked until the last second. I was on the field and you could barely here it. NDA huddled and did their normal chant and the prayer started during that moment. CC was already on the field and stood quietly, but they were much closer to the speakers. Trust me it was the NDA former coach reading it. Had they known they would have stood silently as well. The wind made it almost impossible to hear the PA from across the field. File this under unfortunate but meaningless.

In past years, CC has had a game plan of packing in the defense and counter-punching with an outlet pass in games where they have tough matchups. How was the goal scored in this game?

The first half was controlled more by CC. Whoever had the wind had a definite advantage. The goal was scored on a cross from the corner at the touchline that was put in nicely uncontested.

I can't tell you how many football games I have been at where a team does not hear a prayer being said or the National Anthem and is warming up or running thru a banner or something. Not any lack of respect......they just did not know it was going on.
