Is this ever going to end with you. You are so "hellbent" on grinding an ax with this alleged problem at Ryle. Hey people, Hellbird is the guy who still says #7 would be an awesome TE. He can't be wrong; Get real dude...Ryle, regardless of the coach, could be 5-2. The mistakes have come on the field but they are improving every week. Just wish they had a second chance to play Cooper. Wait...they will be in Ryle's district next year!!

You've lost your mind, if the Defense and strong senior backbones weren't still fighting every week a lot of the underclass men may have hung it up with the inability of the new HC to manage a game. Last years seniors had already packers up for the season at this point. Congrats on the win but let's not forget that there are 2 new coaches and they are the weakest areas of this team hands down, the rest of the staff is Warners. Yes they seem to be getting better but throwing against Boone isn't exactly a measuring stick. Good W boys you deserve, onto this weeks matchup. Good luck

So the HC misses tackles, throws interceptions, misses FG's, gets driven off of the ball, misses assignments? I don't believe in calling players out by name but to put sole blame on staff is absurd. The young Ryle team is just gaining confidence, experience, and is going to be a tough out the rest of the season. There is no one on that team that is thinking about packing it in at 2-5...they are thinking home playoff game.

Yes I said it in the past and will say it again, Ryle had a huge problem in the past AND IT SHOWED, when they had half a dozen dad's on the coaching staff. What did it get them? It got a very good coach fired. So you can continue to whine and continue to point out my position on that because everytime you do it reminds everyone how right I was, so thank you for that. Now about England, yes I said he'd be a great TE, apparently you think he is a horrible TE, I think I will take my side on this debate. England is far from what you claim, a horrible TE, but that shows what you know. The reason he has switched to the backfield again? Because Ryle doesn't have a QB that can get the ball to anyone so why not use your best athlete in a position he will get more touches? So although you think England is a horrible TE, I will always disagree with you on that one. So keep crying in your beer about Cooper beating Ryle, it does you no good. You should just be happy that the better team didn't win last year when Ryle squeaked out a win against Cooper.

Boones problem isn't a coach problem it's a player problem. Maybe coach needs to clean house of his players, bring back the 30 that won't to make Boone's program better and send the rest home.

Pretty sad because there are a group of boys on the team that really care but the coaching staff sucks!! They don't put in the right personnel the play calling is awful the coaches walk around w their hands in there pockets. Tell the boys it's weakness to get down on a knee when someone is injured. Every team we have played this year the other team sub's players in and out. Not Boone the coaches show no emotion and refuse to let the boys show emotion to pump team up. TIME FOR A CHANGE

Before you go on here talking smack know your facts, Coach Griffith was the head coach at Wayne Co. in the mid and late 90's!!! And he turned them around!!!!!!

Do you read what you are saying? Coach Griffith is one of the top defensive coordinators in the state and knows what he is doing. You obviously have not been to a BC football game this year if you think this is a "coaching issue". You are not going to get a better coach at Boone County. Jeff Griffith gets paid probably 8 grand a year to coach that team and turn them around, that's not nearly enough! Honestly, if they fire him that may be what's best for him because of how bad the program is going to be regardless of what coach is there. People like you ruin these boards.

Why do so many put the problem on the HC at Boone?

 

People get tired of me saying it, but Boone County schools have the biggest disadvantage in the state because of closed enrollment. You put on top of that, that Boone Co HS is basically land locked so their enrollment is what it is with little to no sign of growth unlike the other schools in the county who have new subdivions going up which will bring more numbers in etc.

Boones problem isn't the coach. It like all Boone co. Schools, it is the talent level. Each school in that county will fluctuate every couple of years with talent and will seldom ever have a top team in the state period. Boone's problem isn't coach Griffin, but the lack of talent period.

Im sorry but this is definitely a coaching issue and if Boone doesn't win at least 3 games this season there should be a new coach. Yes, Boone has enough talent to win 3 games I've seen plenty of games lost because of poor play calling, and from what i can see griffith is forcing his system on these players instead building a system around the players. Same thing Thompson did, except he wasn't nearly this bad.

No the staff can't get a play in, and yes miss a lot of assignments. Yes the boys have to execute but if you've watched this team all year and aren't a coach on staff responding... It is what it is!
