October 6, 201411 yr It's the 13th I believe. Maybe one day UK football will be relevant enough to relegate that date to afterthought status. It is just a practice, after all. They're making the correct strides.

As much as I love football, making basketball an afterthought will never happen. The term I would like to see is "equal."

I'm not saying basketball at UK will ever be an afterthought. But preseason practices should be. You guys place to much importance on meaningless crap … like Midnight Madness, for example.

Not because of the practice itself, but due to its importance on recruiting. Not to mention its the official start of the season.. Every major school does it, no reason to single UK out.

UK does not need Midnight Madness to be able to recruit at the highest level. They're above those gimmicks. The hoopla over Midnight Madness is nothing more than a shell game to make UK fans think about something other than how bad their football usually is.

Every major college basketball program hosts a midnight madness.. The top programs host extravagant receptions for it. I posted asking how UK got involved in this thread.. At this point it has even went from UL Football jerseys to UK's midnight madness. I don't want to explain how, but anyone with a brain can figure it out. So I will concede, to hopefully get the thread back on track.

October 6, 201411 yr I like different uniforms but it is becoming so overdone. Do it once a year or every other and get on with it. It is not that trendy anymore if every single school is doing it. It has outdone its usefulness and now become gimmicky.
