Frankly, I don't even like the current hoops uniforms, whatever color they are. I wish they'd go back to the old block letters of the '80s. There's something to be said for tradition in uniforms — that's why the Yankees and Red Sox unis are so timeless.

I don't know about you, but I like being able to look at a TV screen in a crowded bar and know exactly who's playing, even without the benefit of the sound and such. This old phrase keeps coming to mind: Keep it simple, stupid.

To add: I liked when it was a special occasion when UofL busted out the black unis for big road games — usually against the hated Memphis St. Same way it was neat when you'd see Syracuse roll out in the blue uniforms once every half-decade or so. I have a deep distaste for the "black-out" fad (used in other colors by certain teams, of course) as well. Garbage novelty that spits in the face of tradition.

October 6, 201411 yr How did UK get brought into a thread concerning UL's uniforms? If some of you don't like ul's new unis I understand, but why bring UK's into it? A ul fan shouldn't care what UK wears, just as UK fans shouldn't care what any other team wears.
