Congrats to SK. I wish them luck the rest of the season. Yes Cooper had several starters out but it would not change the end result. SK is the better team. The real season starts next week when Scott comes to Cooper. I just hope we can get some boys healthy and back on the field.

Total yards was 515-64. First downs were 29-3. SK ran it for 275 and passed for 240. It's probably the most lopsided game I have ever covered in NKY.

 

I said in one of the other threads that Cooper would make it close. Boy, was I wrong. Simon Kenton has a heckuva team, Marksberry has it going on there in a big way. That's a very good football team. Lots of playmakers all over the field.

 

Injuries certainly hurt Cooper, but if this game was played 20 times, Simon Kenton would win by double digits 20 times.

Cooper didn't have 4 starters on defense and several on offense including 2 linemen 1 being their center. Their starting QB was knocked out early, Hendrix (their backup QB and best WR ) out before half. Cooper finished with their 4th string QB

Simon Kenton shuts out Cooper, 46-0

Look at these numbers for the season.

 

Racke 64/94 68% 926 yards 12 tds 2 ints and 185 yards rushing 4 tds. Not bad for a Sophomre!

Powell 36 rushes 306 yards 5 tds. He has only played 3 games.

Winkler 28 catches 481 yards 9 tds.

Against???????????????????????

 

Please post numbers that we can really feel good about. I a actually feel bad for the kids you are posting numbers for. Because I actually wish they were against teams on their level. They mean NOTHING against the teams you have faced so far. I feel sorry for all those good players. I really do. Because until they are doing that against good teams, ""8"8•+it means absolutely nothing. I really wish I could be congratulating those kids for those numbers because they were earned against good teams. But they have really good numbers against inferior teams=. Hard to say "great job". Sorry. Just the truth. If Dixie played ludlow, Bellevue, Dayton and up to this point, they wouldn't be on here telling us about numbers. They would wait until it actually meant something. How Namur yards did all those kids have against Butler last year?
