The Atlantic City Police Dept must explain why they refused to give the NFL the video

Featured Replies

Not the point, sometimes the government is very useful.

If the government doesn't get involved and let all the players involved know that if they lie they will be in deep do do this will probably all get swept under the rug without us ever knowing the full truth. In short, the people in and around the NFL in a position to get to the bottom of this circus risk being exiled by the league so they probably wont' do it. It was pretty clear that all the NFL employees were running the with the company line blah blah blah.

Goodell needs to go, step down, be fired, retire, whatever; zero confidence in the man.

Again, why do we need to know?

Again, why do we need to know?

Need... I guess we could argue what is or isn't a need but when several us (me included) pump thousands of dollars into the NFL we deserve honesty and integrity. If the NFL wants to be corrupt like Boxing go ahead and put it out there and we can all make individual decisions on our continued support.

In simple terms, either the NFL is going to do what is best for business or the NFL is going to be honest.

If the NFL is going to play dumb on the video (and violence on women only giving him a 2 game suspension for starters) then don't play the October Breast Cancer Awareness Card each year like you give two hoots about women and Breast Cancer.

What I am saying is the NFL is full of you know what and it would sit a lot better with me if they would own their business plan.

^Then those people (you included) need to do something about it and stop pumping money into their product. Until people do that, they can complain until their blue in the face, it's not going to change a dang thing as long as they're making their money.

I am, these threads get pumped into the Google Super Computer and I am giving the Bengals a lot less money than I have given them in the past.

Good. :thumb: Now you just need a couple hundred million others to follow suit.

The NFL is on shaky ground with women here. They really have to play their cards right. Expect the October hooting to be grandiose.

So where was this thread when the suspension was handed down. You knew he hit, I knew he hit her, the NFL knew he hit her. The video confirmed what we all already knew. So why 14 threads now instead of when Goodell gave him a slap on the wrist?

We have learned a lot of what the NFL has been hiding all along. How can we make informed decisions when the NFL and who the heck knows colludes to cover this kind of thing up?

This is all the more reason why the government needs to step in with a special commission.

No wonder the government is messing with the NFL anti-trust exemption and black out rules.

The question is what, not why, if the police released ANYTHING to the NFL or gave them any information at all then their bull you know what story about it being grand jury evidence and not proper for release falls on its face.

In short, when someone is lying to you, you have to know how to attack them. Unfortunately, unless the government gets involved we may never know the truth about the NFL.

Isn't it the prosecutor who said they couldn't release it because it was involved in the grand jury?

And when that process was over what was his excuse?

^ And let's face it, the prosecutors dropped the ball too so I can see where the whole criminal justice system could be complicit in the cover up of what the NFL knew and had access to.

And when that process was over what was his excuse?

My point was that wasn't something the police said.

And do we know if the NFL asked for the tape after it was over? If they did, did they go through the correct process or did they just ask for it?

And when that process was over what was his excuse?

Seems to me they had no reason or duty to turn it over. The NFL is not on equal ground as the state prosecutor.

That is just it, no one is in a position to give us the truth but the NFL (no bleeping way they are going to be honest) and an independent commission with government backing.

I agree unless they were ordered to or required by law then why should they release it. It's entirely possible the victim didn't want it released too.
