ukbellco14 Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 13th region semifinals: SL vs NL B'ville vs Clay/Corbin???
LC99 Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Congrats to Barbourville. Not a good tourney for the 52nd district.
Cawoodball player Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Congrats to Barbourville. Not a good tourney for the 52nd district. I think the 52nd was down this past season. I think Bell will be the favorite next season, and Cumberland could be the second favorite. It will still be down, though.

MountainThunder Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 So far my 13th region tourney picks are 100% accurate. Will stay that way if Clay wins tonight.

4chs Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Nice win for the Tigers. I look for them to advance to the championship game if they play the same way in the semifinals.:thumb:
Jim Schue Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 After falling behind 9-4 early, Barbourville closed out the first quarter with a 15-0 run. Cawood played them basically even the rest of the way, but could never get closer than seven. Derrick Watkins hit seven threes and had 27 for Cawood. Chris Good was the man for B'ville with 29 points, including going 12-16 from the line. It was B'ville's first region tourney win since '86.
HDE Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 It was B'ville's first region tourney win since '86. Just to save you from a mistake, it's actually 1989. Barbourville beat Cumberland in the 89 tournament at Bell before losing to Bell. Barbourville beat Bell in the first round of the 1986 tournament before falling to Clay at Middlesboro.

HDE Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 It wasn't a memorable tournament, unless you were a Clay fan. It was the middle of the Dark Ages for the rest of the region.

MountainThunder Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Your still perfect. Well, ... my picks are perfect so far, ... I won't go any further than that!
the villager Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 Good win for the Tigers and good luck against Clay Co.
