BluegrassPreps.com Kentucky Class 3A Rankings for 9-1

Definitely so. I think the Garrard/Wayne game should be a good one.

I do too. I think that GC wins.

I hope so. Winning at Wayne, with them coming off of a loss, will be tough, though.

Yes it will.

The 3A looks loaded this year. Lots of quality teams in the top 10.

Count me among those who believe they're all playing to see who gets beat by Belfry in the title game.

I tend to think the same thing, especially considering it is an even year and Belfry would host all playoff games before going to Western Kentucky. So technically, some of these might be playing to see who gets beat by Belfry in the semis!

Let's not hand the hardware to Belfry just yet.

Pirates looked really good and have a ton of talent back, but Henry Clay really didn't meet the expectations I had for them. Absolutely a ton of talent on that HC roster and they have a ton of Seniors...but that was a very flawed offense. They graduated perhaps the best 1-2 punch in the backfield in KY last year... and thought heir QB was electric with his feet, he wasn't a major passing threat and his receivers didn't help him out either. Even though HC's defense remained in tact I am not sure they ever stopped anyone all of last year as it was either.

Maybe those were all the by-product of Belfry being very good...but I tend to lean that HC simply didn't match up well with Belfry's style and the Pirates' strengths. The book will be out on who Belfry really is soon enough though. A Top 10 5A power football team, a 5A much improved team that runs the spread, and a CAK team who may very well be the 2nd best 3A team in TN with I am going to go ahead and say a future D-1 QB.

What I do know is if you plan to play Belfry you better get ready for a massive O-Line that rotates about 7 or 8 deep, a very skilled backfield, and probably the best DT you will see all year in front of a very quick defense.

And again, you'll have to go win at Belfry.

For snots and giggles after two weeks of football:

1. Belfry

2. Bell County

3. Bourbon County

4. Central

5. Corbin

6. South Warren

7. Paducah Tilghman

8. Wayne County

9. Lawrence County

10. Pike Central

11. Monroe County

12. Mason County

13. Garrard County

14. Etown

15. Henry County

16. Russell

17. Ft. Campbell

18. Estill County

19. Trigg County

20. Casey County

That's fair ATL. And like you said early, I think you can rearrange teams within those groups and still have a good poll.

Totally agree... I could see Etown being #8 in a hurry just as much as I could easily see Wayne dropping to #14

I agree with top five...as far as rest 6-15 could be tossed in hat and any order would suffice!! If these teams want to move they are going to really have to prove it to...

I gotta agree with this poll. No offence but ever body else is just playing for 2nd place. Belfry needs to clear off a spot for another trophy.
