Heck it just might! SW had the same amount of players go D1 last year in football as BGHS and Warren Central Combined.... They could of had one more but their QB said he didnt want to play reciever at the next level. I don't believe saying they have 2-3 D1 players in each of their classes is a stretch at all.

 

And they almost all happened to be concentrated in the subdivision I grew up in while going to WC. Ironic how that worked out.

So according to your statements, I gather you feel everyone but Sundale and Cummings have D1 potential. Sundale was thought by many to be the best lineman behind Middleton last year as a Sophomre, and Cummings has some of the best hands and route running on the team. Not to mention he is the only 3 year starter on the team...You seem to love the Sophomore class which I think is talented as well, but the Junior class actually has been thr more talented and class when it comes to wins and accomplishments dating back to Middle school. Height means a lot but it isn't everything. Just look at Nacarius Fant! Mr. Football....

 

Now as far as D1 looks etc.... How much exposure athletes get as well as connections often mean more then talent. Example.... Bowling Green has a reciever that was named number 1 in the State before even catching a Varsity pass this season.... At this point he only has 1-2 catches. South Warren and Warren Central have several recievers that have looked better this season, but Wallaces connections have the Media and Colleges buying in.... I am not saying that the kid isnt talented because he is, but exposure and connections are EVERYTHING! With the right exposure and connections every one of the kids I listed can go D1..... Question is, will you help them get there or just make assumptions about them because they don't look exactlly how a D1 athlete should look in your.mind?

Now the recruiting process is brutal and they for what it's worth lie to the kids string them alone and everything else.

The kid has to want it. The parents have to want it. No one is going to get them recruited but the kid doesn't matter how talented he is. Doesn't matter what the team or what ever does.

Any one soph jr or sr that you named can play at next level. I don't doubt it at all. I know personally they can. I just think it's a reach right now to say that many can play at d1

One other thing I hope that anyone on that team that's wants to continue to play after high school gets the opportunity to. Whether it's NAIA, D3, D2, D1AA or D1. For that matter I hope anyone from any school gets to play at next level.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that this kind of de-validates your whole "connections can get you an in" theory.

Oh and for Daviess county. I think south will kill them this year since it is at home.

He gets his college paid for, he gets to continue on a team so yeah anyone that goes counts no matter what the position is. That was not the point though.

Playing Logan County can not help you. This is NOT a shot at South Warren as Doubletake said they could have scored 100 and they could have.

My point is I think they should shut the football program down for a few years to regroup. They dont have a win since they went 2 and 9 in 2012. The game prior to this one one of their best players was lost for the year with a compound fracture in his arm. Third coach in 3 years. It goes on and on. :isurrender::isurrender:
