21 Secrets of Overly Competitive People

Featured Replies

No I'm quoting what I tell my kids when they finish 2nd (right after I break their trophies).

Ever hear the story about Shaq's dad never letting him keep a trophy that wasn't 1st place? Not sure if it's true but I always heard that.

Count me in for:

3. Everything is a competition to you, regardless if anyone else knows it.

7. Bragging rights bring just as much joy to you as actually winning.

10. You question your sanity when you’re placed on a team with people who aren’t competitive.

21. And every scar on your body is from something you refused to lose at.

#14 - Nemesis implies that I've actually lost to Google Chick. I'm like Eleventy Billion - 0 against her!

I do Ironman triathlons, so yes, I'm a tad competitive. But these especially.

1, 2, 3 (if you are beside me we ARE racing), 7 - 15, 16 (I WILL play, but not taking it easy), 20, and 21.

I'm pretty much all of them but #6 really really hits home. Post game handshakes are the dumbest thing ever.

For some reason, demotivators.com has taken down one of my favorites. Fortunately, I saved it a long time ago. I've found it's good to play the passive-aggressive role against these kind of people. Usually works.
