Has Hopkinsville received some transfers?

Featured Replies

I don't know much about gary, i do know he would have started for UHA this year along with gray. I know gray plays his heart out and is fighter and a hustler, i would say he is 6'3. He is the reason they almost beat henderson in semi's last year. He had right at 20.

Tyler and Gary likely get eligible.

Gray is the big question. He didn't move as Gary and Tyler have supposedly done. All 3 likely get ruled ineligible off the bat, all 3 will appeal. The question mark is on ledonald gray. From what I hear it may be a long shot for him to get eligible.

Gray can shoot so u have to guard him out on the perimeter but if you get to close his speed will take affect and will beat you to the basket causing of his finishing.

One thing to note. hoptown has ended up with Christian COunty's best senior player the last 3 years.

The Gray situation is an interesting one. There are some who think he may end back up at UHA within the 20 day period in which he can go back to his old school. Getting him elgibile will be very very difficult because he didn't move as Tyler and Gary did.

My opinion on transfers:

I'm okay with them if the kid seeks them out. But if a school comes to a kid asking him to transfer, that's different.

But that's against the rules, no one from a successful program would ever do that...:rolleyes:

That's because they sell themselves! LOL

Gray is good as gold. Lives a mile from HHS. After leaving uha he had to go to hoptown because of his location.

I live in hopkinsville 9th street mostly divides the schooling. Will change next year because of it going to two middles schools instead of three.

Kids who live in the county is really a gamble. Districting for kids in the county is really weird.

Not even close to the truth. Doesn't have to do with where he lives. It has to do with his eligibility. Of course he is in hoptown's district. You can't transfer because of sports. To be eligible the first year there has to be a qualifying event. There wasn't one. That's why most believe he will not be eligible this season.

Well as i stated before i had conversation with one of the coaches on the staff who i got my information from and who said he is good to go.

I would say that is correct also. Since UHA is a private school, it has no district lines. I would say any student could leave there and return to where they are supposed to attend and no questions asked. I would not even consider it as a transfer.
