RE, in football there is no early. Pay attention to all of the signings in February. There will be lots of pressers that day. Us recruiting geeks know this.

As I stated previously it's hardly limited to this youngster. It's too common for some reason in college football recruiting as compared to , say, basketball.

 

While I've never had a child go through it my GUESS is that I'd tell my son that once he committed he's done unless the school starts wavering on him. Again, I'm making a guess as to how I'd approach it. I know that Drew Barker kept moving his commit date back just for that reason. He wanted to be 100% sure before he committed and then be done and not take any official visits.

 

It's a "to each his own" situation.
