Now, maybe he didn't meet Oregon's entrance standards, but like SportsGuy said above...they are just finding this out now? That mine field should have been discovered and cleared a LONG time ago.

July 30, 201412 yr Typically the first step is to be admitted and then you get certified by the clearinghouse. Thus the 'potential' issue with Mudiay at SMU.
July 30, 201412 yr And who were the "mentors"? No idea but it always blows my mind when a guy can't get his stuff straight from the high school he attended. It's really not that tough and you have to be doing some insane things with a guy to keep him high school eligible but not good enough to get his requirements in order. People never fail to amaze me.

Not sure, and not saying anything about Bart Williams I think hes a good coach. BUT..... I always felt the best thing that could have happened to Ray was to have stayed at ER and played for Coach Randy McCoy. McCoy is that authoritarian coach that I think could have got to Ray and turned him into a solid prospect. He would have been the guy who could have got the most out of him, sadly he didn't get his chance. The Ray I know wouldn't have been able to handle McCoy, but if he would have tried and stuck it out it could have been the best thing for him. Randy knows how to handle talented kids, he's had his fair share in the past at Elkhorn City, Pikeville College, and UHA, he would have known how to get the most out of Kasongo, no doubt it my mind.
