Well you will be amazed that a school like JBS with its 60 high school will have about 2500 on Monday night. They don't have a band but they do hum real well.........

 

How will a school with 600 get 2500 fans - when its a private school affiliated school? Recruiting some Alice Lloyd students? haha. If youre counting on Knott County fans to support you - Id be surprised if that happens.

Owsley County has played Estill County twice this year and lost by 38 and 24. THE SAME Owsley County team that defeated June Buchanan...when the the 6'8 Collins was still playng.

What makes you think JBS can defeat Estill Conty? Surely not because the game is at the Morton Combs Athletic Complex? Estill's fans will be there in force....make no mistake about that. I don't see a home court advantage that you seem to be referring to.

You must not have understood me. It is a school of 60(sixty) high schools students. This is not a misprint. Thats 60 students. But you will understand when you get there and see 2500 JBS fans.

Please excuse me for saying this, but your fan support figures are a bunch of bull......but that's just my opinion. A more accurate figure would be around 500 to 700. Knott Central and Cordia's fans could possibly and silently want JBS to win (maybe not 100%), but I don't think they'll be making too much of a scene.

Estill lost to Montgomery AT Montgomery.....JBS defeated Montgomery in the Berea Invitation. Do you actually think JBS would defeat Montgomery in Mt. Sterling, with their officials? No....and Estill didn't either.

And I agree, Estill should not have lost to Breathitt (a team Owsley defeated on their senior night). Teams sometimes have off nights. if they had played again estill would have won by 20.....and in Jackson.

What a tourney? I think the JBS/Estill game could be as good as the Lee/Leslie game and I don't think you could consider either way an upset if either one wins. I think the only upset games may be the other two Because Hazard is really on top right now in that one and Jackson City should win theirs. If not those would be the only 2 upsets I see in the opening round.

I agree and this would be the only upset I really see in the entire tourney. And I agree with the Professor when he says that Estill will seem like the home team. They always garner great fan support in numbers and noise.

Oh.....I'd love to see Wolfe defeat Hazard too. It would be a great statement for the Northern part of the region, who usually gets very little respect, and breaks, in the regional tournament.
