I was thinking the same thing. I could care less about the transfer. It really makes no difference to me. You could tell she wasn't happy at NCC by the end of last season. But those reasons are a little suspicious. Does she live close enough to Holmes to walk? I have no idea where she lives. But just by transferring back to Holmes, doesn't make the transportation issues go away unless she lives close. (which she may) And if they had paid $18K for the first 3 years, now they can't? And now Holmes is back on the basketball map with some nice young players and some key transfers and NCC (IMO) lost a lot with Kiernan leaving. It may be completely legit and I wish the best for her, but you have to admit there are a lot of coincidences and it appears a little fishy to those not connected to her. Not fishy from Holmes' side, just the reasons for the move.

We might as well. I'm okay with it too. Just as long as it's the same for everyone is all I care. Some people always try to play by the book and others try to stretch it as far as they can. Not saying that's the case here, but we all know it happens. Just let them go where ever they want.

Late to the party' date=' but with Holmes also getting Hannah Tubbs from Norwood, I wouldn't be so sure about that pick. Several people who follow girls hoops closer than myself said Tubbs will be the best player in the region this coming season and one of the top girls in the state.

In my opinion, she just didn't look happy on the floor. She appeared frustrated and didn't appear to play as hard or want the ball like I had seen in the past from her. She looked lazy on defense, which was not typical of her. Just signs that she wasn't playing with the same level of tenacity that I have seen her play with in the past. Again, just my opinion. But these are things you typically see from a player that is burnt out or not happy with her situation. Especially when you have seen those things in that player in the past.

Thanks, I thought you were referencing NCC as a whole, not just on the court. I'm guessing if she was happy in the classroom and the court, transportation could be figured out?

Ahhh...I don't know about in the classroom. I'm with you, there are solutions to just about any problem if you want something to work out. Not judging her, other than maybe she just didn't want to be there bad enough that it wasn't worth working it out for her.

It would be fair to say it was a little bit of both but I can say that transportation was the deciding issue.

No doubt she is a great player. We played against her several times over the summer but this is a bit of a over statement.

I would have to agree. Very good player, but I've seen some of the players she would be competing with for this award and I'm not sure she's in the same league yet. She will have an impact in the 9th, but not statewide.

What's the sampling size of games that you have seen Hedley that you all are basing your opinions on?? I have seen her compete at a high level in many game situations at many levels of competition and she can flat out finish at will anywhere on the floor! There are few young women who have her speed and strength that can match her defensively.
