I would wear my class ring on the ring finger of my right hand.

Never worn any other rings.

Good point. Yeah - the class ring and championship ring only get worn on the ring finger of my right hand.

Men should only wear two types of rings - wedding and championship.

IMHO

I think you are forgetting class rings, both high school and college...as well as military rings. I had an Army ring, looked very much like a class ring, but lost it. As a matter of fact, after researching I may just have to go get me another one. Here are just a couple examples:

I was waited on by a guy with a thumb ring on both thumbs and a middle finger ring...just creeps me out for some reason.

IMO the only allowable rings are Wedding Band, Class Ring, Championship Ring, Fraternal Organization Ring all worn on Ring fingers only. Got to pick two out of that group.

One Exception would be if you have more than one Championship ring you can wear them on as many fingers as needed (for Photo Ops only), then just wear the favorite one and put the rest back up.

FWIW I just wear Wedding Band and have only removed it when hospitalized, have a little ditch in my finger and tan line to prove it.

My wife told me once she never trust a married man that doesn't have a tan line where is wedding band goes.

Agree with you - especially about the military rings. I know graduates of Annapolis, West Point, Air Force Academy and The Citadel. All of them wear their military class rings in their day-to-day lives. I'd never question that at all.

Here's a question for you though, BigV: What do you think about family members wearing a deceased family member's military ring? Reason I ask is, I have a coworker whose dad was a West Point grad. His dad died, and he got his dad's West Point class ring, which his dad wore every day. Now he (the son) wears the ring on a daily basis in memory of his dad, although he himself has never served. As a result, just in my handful of months of working with the guy, I've seen him receive salutes and/or "thank you for your service" comments on probably 3 or 4 occasions. It just sits funny with me, personally.

Tough one. Personally, I don't think it should be worn on the finger in that situation...that's reserved for the "earner" of the ring. If worn by another, I think it should be worn around the neck on a necklace...and that's if it's worn at all. I think a more appropriate place would be on a bedside table or something, displayed so you can see it every mourning when you wake up. Of course, it might have been his fathers dying wish that it be worn by him, and if so that changes things I suppose, but I doubt that was the case.
