He took a wrong turn at standard border crossing that had very poor temporary signage. He did not disrespect the border.

 

There is more to the detained Marine (Reserve) story than meets the eye. More information still coming out. Apparently he had crossed this border between 6 - 9 times in the previous 2 - 3 days before being detained. If, as he says, it was a one time accidental crossing, then I think there may be cause for asking questions, but I think there was more going on here we don't know about. If you have ever been around any of the border crossings, they all have signage about bringing weapons and ammo into the country. I'm going to bet that the Marine (Reserve) had some other intentions and we just don't know what….yet

Maybe we should put a carrier task force in the Gulf, that seems to get the attention of other countries around the world.

If the US ever does pass immigration reform, it will lead to another US vs Mexico war.

 

I'm guessing you mean more restrictive (or actually enforce current laws). I've read before that the Mexican Presidents over the years have been very vocal opponents of immigration reform or the US actually closing the border.

 

What do you think Mexico would actually do if the US elected a President that took border security seriously?
