July 7, 201412 yr I don't understand why the Saudis don't take a bigger part in stabilizing the region. I would imagine that a significant portion of their massive Sunni population would like them to "stabilize" it in a particular way. The relationship of the Suadi royal family with its people is very strange and sometimes I don't understand exactly what they're up to. Any action in Iraq by the Saudis would likely be viewed by Shia Iran as an attempt to promote Sunni dominance of the region.
