Yoenis Cespedes: Play of the Year?

Featured Replies

It was a great throw but I don't think it's going to be play of the year. The only reason it was a good play was because he misplayed the ball.

My thoughts exactly. I'm not going to get overly excited about a play that only came about because the same guy made a boneheaded play.

Doesn't change the fact that he was about 300' from home and threw a seed, on the fly, and on the money. I don't care how good the "play" was, the throw was ridiculous.

Agreed.

CFer misjudges a fly ball and then makes a crazy good catch - I'm still applauding.

This throw was unbelievable and better than 99% of the "top plays" you will see.

Go out to Paul Brown Stadium and throw a baseball from one endzone to another, on a fly, to a guy that doesn't have to move his feet to catch it. I'll wait here. :thumb:

Ichiro's "the throw":

Great throw but I'll take Dave Parker's throw in the AS game to get Brian Downing at the plate or any of Ellis Valentine's throws.

Like this one:

Billy Hamilton scores standing up. :sorry::whistling:;)

I saw another video today of a throw by Jose Guillen from the warning track. He's right up there with crazy arms.

Scientists have estimated that the initial velocity of the throw was 97-98 MPH.
