June 4, 201412 yr Any Smack Down updates? I drove by all their tour busses earlier today but we didn't anybody.
June 4, 201412 yr Author First of all I have to say it was absolutely a phenomenal show. The energy, the pace, the effects, the superstars, the promos, the length of the show, just everything. It was unreal and very possibly the best money I have ever spent on an event. Great job WWE! This is more for the hardcore wrestling fans that anything but here goes. Last night WWE essentially taped two shows. They did a Main Event Show that appeared almost live last night on the WWE Network and they taped Smackdown which will appear Friday night on SyFy. This is a little different than what you see on TV, for example, Bad News Barrett came out three times. First for a Main Event Promo bashing RVD (and I could see myself and my hottie over Barrett's shoulder while he was doing the promo - I came home and watched it on demand on the WWE Network) and RVD attacked him from out of no where (right before the promo several people came out in the dark sneaking RVD into the crowd if you will). Then in the Main Event Show Barrett defended his title against RVD and Barrett won a pretty solid match. And later Barrett defended his title again against both RVD and Cesaro. Next Harper and Rowan of the Wyatt Family were in tag team action against Goldust and Kofi Kingston. It was a great match that the Wyatt Family won but it was damn entertaining. Then the stage was given the makeover to tape the Smackdown show. Cole and JBL were announced and then it began with the game, Triple H and Seth Rollins coming out to gloat. SPOILER ALERT!!! Here are the results from Bleacher Report, it is way too much for me to explain other than to give them all to you, this is what you will see Friday on TV: Triple H and Seth Rollins kicked off the show with a promo. Dolph Ziggler interrupted and Triple H booked Rollins in a match against Ziggler, something the former architect of The Shield did not expect. Seth Rollins defeated Dolph Ziggler. Big Show approached Rollins and Triple H backstage. Show called the former a sellout and Triple H responded by booking Show against Randy Orton later in the night. WWE Tag Team champions The Usos defeated Ryback and Curtis Axel in a non-title match. Rusev defeated Xavier Woods. Intercontinental champion Bad News Barrett defeated Rob Van Dam and Cesaro in a Triple Threat match. Bray Wyatt cut a promo in which he said Sister Abigail warned him about all of this. Natalya defeated Alicia Fox; Fox threw a fit at ringside after the match. Bo Dallas defeated Santino Marella. Big Show defeated Randy Orton by disqualification when Seth Rollins attacked; Rollins and Orton laid out Show to end the night's festivities. WWE SmackDown Spoilers: Complete Results and Analysis for June 6 | Bleacher Report I am going to continue in my next post.
June 4, 201412 yr Author There were a couple of other matches that I suppose will not appear on Main Event or Smackdown. Damien Sandow came out as Pete Rose (he does lots of this type of stuff as of late) and threw out some insults about the hall of fame, gambling, etc. He was matched against Adam Rose. Rose has a posse of dancers and characters and some really catchy music. It was really cool in person. Additionally, I never realized just how well put together Rose is, he is a stud. Rose beat Sandow in more of a gimmick match than anything. Fandango and his new hottie also came out and he wrestled Sheamus. Very solid match. And like Rose and even more so, Fandango has an incredible build but then again that is a part of his character. Sheamus won, the crowd loves Sheamus, and the crowd likes Fandango too. The point of talking about these two matches is as far as the WWE is concerned I am not sure they ever took place if you follow me. Either way, I am thrilled that the WWE added those matches for all of us fans, they were both very entertaining and I wanted to see all four of those superstars. Some other random thoughts about the matches: Triple H is soooo good. He is the future of the WWE. Ziggler is under utilized. The man can work the microphone and he can wrestle. I hope to see him go up against Rollins/Evolution more. Zig has it. Big Show is awesome, you just know he has to be a good guy and I will add something later. The Usos are so entertaining and Ryback is a complete beast of a man. He is scary beast man. Axel looks like he would be a bad actor too. They are a solid tag team. Rusev is a beast too but it's hard to keep your eyes on him with Lana being out there and all. One of the greatest moments of the night for me came from the really cool lady sitting in front of me. Rusev comes out with all the pro Russian/anti American stuff going on and then out comes Xavier Woods looking like Apollo Creed and the lady in front of me says, "Damn Brother! You should have stayed in the back." 10 seconds after that Rusev kicked Woods so hard in the head I thought he killed him. Rusev submitted Woods and I am still laughing about it, the comment that is... Then Barrett retained his title in his second defense of the night. I have no complaints but if forced to complain I've got some bad news, there was too much BNB last night. Add RVD to that too. Love you guys, I know it is not your fault, but too much. Wyatt cut a taped Promo that was just a little hard to hear. It was fine, but nothing great. Natalya and Fox had a nice match, Natalya won and Fox had a melt down and went after the rode hard and put away wet female ring announcer. One last thing about Fox, she exited by us and even back stage and in the dark she continued to insult the crowd where only a small % of us could see her. Fox really sold it, great work! Bo Dallas is catching on more with the crowd. He beat Santino (Santino is pretty much like Swagger, a pawn) but both he and Swagger do a good job. Santino also had Emma with him. I like me some Emma, something about her is hot. Big Show and Orton put on a great match but Triple H interfered and then Big Show started choking them both out and Rollins ran into the Ring and attacked. The three of them put Big Show out. I am going to add one more post in a few to finish my review.
June 4, 201412 yr Author Again from Bleacher Report: Big Show defeated Randy Orton by disqualification when Seth Rollins attacked; Rollins and Orton laid out Show to end the night's festivities. So on Smackdown this is how the night ends but not in Cincinnati. The Shield Intro comes on and Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose enter. The crowd goes Ape you know what. It is the Shield, they are good guys now, and Ambrose is from Cincinnati. Evolution high tails it out of the ring and Triple H tells them something like if they want a fight they got one. Out charges the whole Wyatt Family. Remember, Smackdown is over, Cole and JBL have their headsets off, this is for the hometown crowd. Everyone knows how crazy pumped Ambrose normally is, give it another 25%. Dean was off the hook. Ambrose starts against basically the whole Wyatt Family, Big Show starts a Dean chant and the arena catches on pretty well. The match goes from traditional to total chaos. Reigns gets a Superman punch in, and finally Big Show crushes Luke Harper and pins him. The crowd went haywire. Ambrose and Reigns stayed out for a few minutes kissing babies and shaking hands. It was a real treat! Thanks WWE for a sensational night of entertainment!
June 4, 201412 yr Author Glad you liked it; How did you feel about not hearing the announce team? I love the interaction and the insight normally provided by the announcers but I was fine without it. Besides, I get to hear them Friday on Smackdown. Plus, there is so much going on off camera not having he announcers gives you a chance to absorb so much more.
June 5, 201412 yr Author Hold on, did you say Goldust? He's still wrestling? haha! Yep, 45 years old and still banging like a Pro. He was doing tag team with his half brother Cody Rhodes but they recently split. In short, gold is a pretty regular performer on the Raw/Smackdown.
