May 28, 201412 yr Adam Silver is a lawyer, is he not? Pretty sure he wouldn't have started down this road if he wasn't confident that he was within his legal means. As far as the recordings go, if it's true that he had asked her to record their conversations due to poor health and old age, he's screwed. The league by-laws pretty clearly spell out what the possible punishments are for (paraphrasing) effecting the league negatively. I don't think he's got a prayer.

He made comments that are damaging to the brand of the club. The others in the club have the right to remove him based on those actions if the majority feels that way. He agreed to those terms when he purchased the club. It's as simple as that.

It's hard to even pay attention to anything he has to say at this point.
